Our Bath Reno

We have been working on a partial update to our bathroom with new flooring, paint, and toilet. All other fixtures, tile and tub are remaining the same. This update was not planned - water disaster prompted us to have to replace the entire floor…I mean after demo, there was a big hole that used to be the floor. Floor joists were the only structural thing remaining where the floor used to be.

The floor is now installed along with the tile I chose. It is a porcelain tile in a white painted pine wood design. The tiles are in planks as if it were real wood planks. I really love this tile!

Next, we completed the painting of the ceiling, walls and new pine wood (real pine, lol!) base molding.

Chalk Paint

You can see from the first photo of the wall cabinet, the paint is streaky - but after the 2nd coat, it covered beautifully and looks really great! I have a floor cabinet I need to paint next. We are slowly moving on this project because of time constraints and unplanned snow storms that require all day shoveling!

I will post photos of the completed project, whenever that may be, hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

The cabinets and the base molding are the same color - different finishes. Base molding is satin finish interior paint, and the cabinets are chalk paint with wax sealer.
