S2 E52: Laurie Russman - Neon Kitty Quilts; Bluprint Shut Down; Knit Sewing
Happy (belated) Memorial Day!
Welcome to the Make and Decorate podcast if you are new to the show, and welcome back to all regular listeners. I start off each podcast episode with updates on what’s going on in my studio with sewing and quilting, and more recently, my container garden progress.
Here is a photo gallery of some of the container plantings I have done on my deck. They do not look like much yet. I always love how they look around mid-summer - all full of blooms overflowing from the containers! I did see a couple of poppy sprouts in a couple of the containers I planted them in! I really hope they work out and bloom as beautiful as the seed packet photo!
Bluprint shut down: If you have a Bluprint subscription OR if you have previous purchased Craftsy classes, check your blueprint app for the letter announcing the shut down taking place over the next few months. Just like when they acquired Craftsy, definitive steps of progression are not disclosed to the public, and it seems like nothing but mass confusion on Bluprint’s part. Why would they not have all of their ducks in order with a plan for how they are going to resolve the purchasers of “forever” classes?? Instead, we get rhetoric full of platitudes with an “oh ya, we’ll try to see if we can get the forever classes to you, but no promises” (paraphrased by me). It is true, we are never guaranteed anything when a business goes under or is sold. I just get the feeling that the 68 classes I paid for in full with the agreement that they would be “forever” available to me - are gone forever! Heartbreaking :(
